Talking about race and racism with resettled refugees
Like most people these days, I wear many hats. One that I am extremely passionate about is that of Refugee Advocate. I recently had an opportunity to partner with the Ethiopian Community Development Council to write a series of articles on talking about race and racism with refugees. The information was published on Switchboard, which is a one-stop resource hub for refugee service providers across the United States. While we wrote the following articles with organizations in mind, individuals might also find them helpful for learning how to handle conversations on race.
