Dear Walter Chilambo: I have questions!
Dear Walter,
I have questions. I have been listening to your song "Only You" for two days straight. Of the 845,200+ views you have today, at least 1107 are mine. So, it is only natural that I would have a million things running through my head as I listen and ponder the words you are singing.
How many times a day do you pray? It can only be by anointing that a human being can have such an angelic voice and choose to use it to praise God. I just can't.
What inspired these lyrics? What struggles did you face? I want to always know that I am not alone. No matter how big my storm, I want to always have sunshine deep in my soul. Your song reminds that it is only by the grace of God that I am where I am. Sina wasi wasi tena!
Who is the genius producing your music? Where do you have your concerts? I will fly wherever you are to listen to this song for the entire duration of your concert. Believe it or not, I have no idea if you have any other songs or if I would even like them. I am too busy being filled up by this one.
Do you think I can record a remix with you - a Burundi meets Tanzania kind of deal? Once upon a time, I sang in multiple groups. I must not have prayed enough because I never had a voice like yours. I did, however, enjoy every moment I spent worshiping with my siblings, friends, and schoolmates. I have been wanting to bring my siblings back together for a song, but I will do it with you instead (in addition?).
How can we thank you enough for blessing the world with this song? I was going to say the Swahili-speaking world, but I am pretty sure non-Swahili speakers are just as blessed by it as I am. So, THANK YOU - on behalf of ALL the women and men and children who have listened to "Only You" countless times and still get overwhelmed by God's love through your words.
Sincerely,
Nezia MK
